Machine gun socials return to the 8th

In 2010, Republican congressional candidate Tim D'Annunzio made national headlines when he hosted a pair of machine gun socials in the 8th District.

Now Republican Vernon Robinson is picking up where D'Annunzio left off.

Robinson, from Winston-Salem, plans to run in the 8th District in 2012. He's sponsoring a machine gun fundraiser on Sept. 26 at Eagle Guns in Concord. For $50 supporters can fire a magazine of a fully-automatic submachine gun. There will be a door prize: a new AR-15.

"By hosting this event, Vernon Robinson declares his solidarity with those who enjoy shooting and owning guns," Robinson campaign director Steve Arnold said.

Robinson, who has run for office before, has a way of making news.

As a Winston-Salem alderman in 2004, he bought a one-ton granite marker with the Ten Commandments on one side and the Bill of Rights on the other and planted it at City Hall. The city hauled it away.

He ran for Congress that year in a 5th District Republican primary. Before losing a runoff to Virginia Foxx, he raised almost $3 million from a network of supporters across the country.

In 2006 he ran against Democrat Brad Miller in the 13th District. Making immigration an issue in that race, he ran a TV ad with mariachi music in the background.

"If Miller had his way," it said. "America would be nothing but one big fiesta for illegal aliens and homosexuals."

Who's Vernon Robinson?

He's a perennial loser/joke candidate having lost his bid for Superintendent of Public Instruction in 1996, state Senate in 1998, state House in 2002, US House in 2004, NC GOP Chair in 2005, US House in 2006. He also backed loser Tim D'Annunzio. Everything about him is fail.

And what have Democrats done? Heard of "Fast and furious"? The administration selling weapons to Mexican Drug Cartels as part of a sting operation which resulted only in totally losing track of the weapons and allowing them to be used to kill a US Border Patrol agent!

Oh, and before the truth became public our Secretary of State used the evidence of those same weapons sales to try to imply that it was US gun distributors that were responsible and called for more restrictions on our second amendment rights!

I can't help but wonder if that wasn't the true agenda of "Fast and Furious" to begin with!

Candidates for public office should be forced to campaign in the nude.

"If Miller had his way," (which he did since he kicked your butt) "America would be nothing but one big fiesta for illegal aliens and homosexuals."

WHOOOO! Where's my taco? Party like a rock star.

I bet Laura Slepian who did D'Annunzio's machine gun social is P.O'ed.

LOL, look it up. Now she works for perennial loser Scott Keadle, of Iredell County I might add.

Remember when she said "stay out of our district" to the last loser from Iredell. LOL.

You can't make this stuff up.

Do any of the Republicans running actually live here? Nope. Thought so.

Can Obama do anything but spend more trillions for nothing running up the debt? Hell anybody can do that. Spending someone elses money is the easier thing on earth. Empty suit.

Get him outta here ... quick

Vernon,

Good luck with this. It was your idea in the first place and it brought national attention to the campaign. You did one first several years before, didn't you? As part of one of your other campaigns?

Again, they make this stuff up as they go along and couldn't care less about the facts. That is the stuff liberals are made of.

Great job! Thanks again for your willingness to serve and put you self through this. Be ready for the News Media to bring in a token protester so they can create a story. You remember that is what Channel 11 did to us last time.

Thanks Tim.

Any comments for that Slepian traitor now working for Iredell County out of our District opportunist Scott Keadle?

Oh, that's right the facts don't matter. You and your ex staff NOW support carpetbaggers like Ol' Vern Robinson.

You can't make this stuff up. Thanks Tim D'Annunzio. Knew you'd play.

paraclete said...

You're welcome Justin, any time. The last carpetbagger was fine as long as you were supporting him. And I haven't announced support for anyone yet. But I am for ABJB.

What you so called conservatives got left in your bag of nonsense?

Dead Babies. Terri Schiavo? Did you not see the last GOP debate. Now they want to KILL people on life support.

Make up your minds, build an actually platform, stop worshiping tax-raisers Reagan and Bush, while saying the opposite of what they actually did. Quit building other nations with our school money, like Bush Jr said he wouldn't.

What part of being a screaming hypocritical loon is in the bible Tim? Please tell us.

Man, you're so luke warm wishy washy I just want to vomit you out of my mouth.

VOTE RON PAUL!

Remember that time you were kinda cool Tim. Remember that time you stood for something other than Party politics. Remember that time you said "GET OUT MY DISTRICT."

Now you give encouraging words to those that want to carpetbag.

You won man, then those outsiders came in and took it away. Right?

I'm just saying, why reward that which done you in. Just send Kissel a check already. Apparently no Republican that actually lives here has a problem with him.

Including Justin.

What else you got?

"Larry Kissell's commitment to preserving our Second Amendment freedoms has earned him the ... endorsement," Chris Cox, chairman of NRA's Political Victory Fund said in a statement. "Gun owners and hunters in North Carolina can trust him to fight for their Second Amendment rights."

The 90's are over people. Let's move on to bigger issues.

Burned me there Tim. Kudos!

Except for the fact you actually don't live in Ephesus, and have little to no understanding of the letters of that day, much less Christianity, or reality.

Proverbs 18

1 An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends;

he defies all sound judgment.

2 A fool finds no pleasure in understanding

but delights in airing his own opinions.

3 When wickedness comes, so does contempt,

and with shame comes disgrace.

4 The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters,

but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.

5 It is not good to be partial to the wicked

or to deprive the innocent of justice.

6 A fool’s lips bring him strife,

and his mouth invites a beating.

7 A fool’s mouth is his undoing,

and his lips are a snare to his soul.

8 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;

they go down to a man’s inmost parts.

9 One who is slack in his work

is brother to one who destroys.

10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower;

the righteous run to it and are safe.

11 The wealth of the rich is their fortified city;

they imagine it an unscalable wall.

12 Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud,

but humility comes before honor.

13 He who answers before listening—

that is his folly and his shame.

14 A man’s spirit sustains him in sickness,

but a crushed spirit who can bear?

15 The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge;

the ears of the wise seek it out.

16 A gift opens the way for the giver

and ushers him into the presence of the great.

17 The first to present his case seems right,

till another comes forward and questions him.

18 Casting the lot settles disputes

and keeps strong opponents apart.

19 An offended brother is more unyielding than a fortified city,

and disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel.

Whatever: But a rich man answers harshly.

Eat it Tim. Eat it hard while you chew on that you Pharisee wannabe junkie that finally found copy/paste like I did in two seconds.

Ya - But Jim Morrill Loves Tim D'annunzio and over time I bet he will love Vernon Robinson too.

Crazy Sells Papers.

Anonymous said...

The truth is that Jim is a fisher of bottom feeders. He creates the bait and then draws in those who feed on the illusions he creates. He doesn't care about the bate as in love or hate, he only cares about those he lures in so that he may feed on them in the ultimate end.

Anonymous said...

I guess Jim is bottom feeder cause you cant get much lower then Vernon or D'annunzio. They are bottom dwellers.

Jobs Plan

Jesus Christ Is Lord!
19 September 2011

Over the next few weeks I am going to be implementing my Jobs Plan. It goes like this: I sell stuff at a profit that people want to buy, I have people work for me that make the stuff I sell and I pay them an agreed amount for their work. I expect to be hiring about 20 people over the next month. That will make my plan more than 20 times more effective than the president’s.

I think (know) the president’s plan is going to kill job growth and economic activity. He knows it too. His plan is nothing more than a vindictive slap at those who know his policies are (therefore he is) intentionally destroying. It is an appeasement and surrender to those who seek redistribution as their end and an abandoning of logic in order to pacify his narcissistic lust for approval from his fellow US haters.

My Jobs Plan is also about Capitalism’s form of wealth redistribution. It is called working, and it is based in proven laws of supply and demand. If I do a job better and have a better product, if I deliver that product to customers who want it at a price we agree to, money is redistributed from them to me and from me to those who sell me raw materials and work for me producing the product. The modern socialist engineering minded governments are the people who insert themselves at each of these steps and hinder. Government is the problem not the solution. Free markets are the answer and wealth creation the only needed incentive.

These are the answers that have always been known. The system that has replaced what is known but ignored is to reward, encourage and incentivize sloth, failure, and mediocrity while penalizing, demonizing, and hindering any who refuse to ignore what is known.

John Adams, Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States, 1787 Works 6:8--9
Suppose a nation, rich and poor, high and low, ten millions in number, all assembled together; not more than one or two millions will have lands, houses, or any personal property; if we take into the account the women and children, or even if we leave them out of the question, a great majority of every nation is wholly destitute of property, except a small quantity of clothes, and a few trifles of other movables. Would Mr. Nedham be responsible that, if all were to be decided by a vote of the majority, the eight or nine millions who have no property, would not think of usurping over the rights of the one or two millions who have? Property is surely a right of mankind as really as liberty. Perhaps, at first, prejudice, habit, shame or fear, principle or religion, would restrain the poor from attacking the rich, and the idle from usurping on the industrious; but the time would not be long before courage and enterprise would come, and pretexts be invented by degrees, to countenance the majority in dividing all the property among them, or at least, in sharing it equally with its present possessors. Debts would be abolished first; taxes laid heavy on the rich, and not at all on the others; and at last a downright equal division of every thing be demanded, and voted. What would be the consequence of this? The idle, the vicious, the intemperate, would rush into the utmost extravagance of debauchery, sell and spend all their share, and then demand a new division of those who purchased from them. The moment the idea is admitted into society, that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If "Thou shalt not covet," and "Thou shalt not steal," were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society, before it can be civilized or made free.

Constitution Day

Jesus Christ Is Lord!
17 September 2011

It is Constitution Day and I want to make a few points that you most likely will not hear anywhere else, or at least I am sure you will not hear them in the Main Stream News Media.

I have often spoke of the Federalist Papers and them being arguments and explanation that where toward getting the states to ratify the Constitution. I haven’t spoken much about the Anti-Federalists. My point is that the only way the Constitution was ratified was that there were assurances given that further language would be added that would address the concerns of the Anti-Federalists. This further language took the form of 12 amendments that were presented to the states by Congress on 25 September 1789. And of course 10 were ratified on 15 December 1791 and are the Bill of Rights.

I want to focus on the letter that was written that accompanied the proposed amendments when they were presented to the states. It is from Congress in total and bears the names of the Speaker of the House Fredrick Augustus Muhlenberg and Vice-President John Adams the President of the Senate. The letter states that two thirds of both Houses concurred (at least two thirds of both Houses as per Article 5 of the original Constitution).

The first paragraph of the letter is:
“The Convention of a number of States, having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution:”

The Letter goes on to say that they are therefore sending these amendments to the states for consideration for ratification.

The point that cannot be missed here is when the federal government has gone beyond it powers as it has in both violation of the powers granted in the body of the Constitution and its violation of the further defined limitation of those powers in the amendments, it is misconstruction at best and in any case an abuse of its granted powers. This has led to the undeniable loss of confidence in Government due to the abuses resulting in the antithesis of the intended beneficent ends of its institution.

It only means something if it isn’t ignored. This is the Spirit and Truth of the intention of the law. And the result of a violation was, is and has always been known. The answer and solution are to restore it.
