It's good to be home in the South," the former Georgia congressman told an audience in Rock Hill, less than 14 hours after the last polls closed in new Hampshire.
And he wasn't the only one to enjoy being in the Palmetto State.
"I'm really happy to be in South Carolina," said R.C. Hammond, his national press secretary. "You know why? It's warm here. No one is ever mean to you. And the food gets better every place we go."

We're with you Newt! The south is glad to have you. I'm excited about the opportunity to vote for a Reagan Conservative.
My mind is on the economy. And I believe Newt has a great plan to help turn this country around for my children and future grandchildren.
Newt is glad to be back in the South?
The feeling isn't mutual.
Reagan conservative...hmmmm....That is an oxymoron. He grew governnent. Quadrupled the debt. Did I mention he raised taxes 7 times?
4 more years!
4 more years? For him to continue to do nothing but golf or throw WH parties? It will take a decade to undo the liberalism, socialism, america-hating attitude he brought to the WH.
This doesn't look like a progressive to me.

Laughing so hard at how bad the GOP Presidential choices are. Newt, Rick, Mitt, Perry, etc. OMG Sarah Palin has more sense than all these guys combined. Heck, at least she made millions teasing Reagan conservatives regarding her true motives, smart lady!
As to Newt, where has he been since he was forced out of office in 1998...1998!
If Newt drops the critiques on Bain Capital closing two businesses, I'll eagerlyjump back on the Newt train. Til then, he needs a refresher course in risk and capitalism.
Newt has aids? Who would have thought it possible for a man who gets around as much as he, to have aids.
S.C. Editions of The Observer
Are there still as many Charlotte Observer print editions in Palmetto State news racks as in previous years? We get the idea that in recent management trends by The Observer's California-based corporate ownership, circulation areas for some newspapers such as The Observer have been trimmed back somewhat.
Here's hoping our friends in South Carolina can still get some news and views from "North of the Border."
Cain drops in polls, numbers go to other man, both (shall I say three) of them experienced the same
thing in the nineties . No more please, we can do it.An ex adulterer in the oval office and a first lady who had an affair with a married man. These type of persons will be making history that will be read by our children and granchildren a century later .Is this the kind of role model that we want our children see? Hypocracy is the buzz word here.
Protect our children. They are not political ( pandering, expediency, etc), and they need a God fearing leader in the white house as their role model.
~President Adulterer?
WHAT IN THE NAME OF INSANITY ARE PEOPLE THINKING?
They are considering electing a man to be President WHO COMMITTED
ADULTERY ON HIS 1ST WIFE AND THEN DIVORCED HER!! Then he married his
Mistress and COMMITTED ADULTERY ON HIS 2ND WIFE MISTRESS with a House
of Representatives Staffer [23 years his junior] while he was leader of the investigation
into the Lewinsky scandal. THAT MAKES HIM A 100% HYPOCRITE!! Then he divorced his
2nd wife and married the Staffer Mistress as his 3rd wife. God says Adulterers go to Hell! [1 Cor.6:9]
And people are thinking this would be a PEOPLE INSANE TO ELECT ?? DO PEOPLE HAVE THE MORALS OF A DOG??
HOW CAN ANYONE ELECT A MAN WHO IS A HYPOCRITE AND DOUBLE ADULTERER
AND WHO IS UNFAITHFUL TO HIS WIVES TO BE FAITHFUL TO TO RUN A COUNTRY
AND BE PRESIDENT?
And don't bring the stupid argument, "Well, what someone does in their personal life and
professional life is different." WRONG! THEY ARE THE SAME PERSON!
WAKE UP FOR CHRIST'S SAKE AND THE SAKE OF THE NATION!!
Hey Anonymous,
I'm so sorry you feel that way. And I completely understand where you are coming from. Maybe there is error in my judgment.
I have made mistakes in my life and continue to make them. I have never cheated on my wife, but who's to say one sin is greater than another. I have lied. I have cheated. I have stolen.
So I am no better than any who have walked this earth. With mistakes come consequences that we must live with. But just like a parent who loves their child, just because you get disciplined does not mean your parent loves you any less. Newt is a man that has made mistakes in his past. Just like me. Just like every man.
So by definition we must elect a man that has made mistakes. And the man that I would vote for is one that has the knowledge to get government out of the way for jobs to be created. I’d vote for the man who has experience in Washington to know how to clean up some of this mess Obama has helped put us in. And I’d vote for the man who can best articulate what it means to be a Conservative.
That man for me is Newt Gingrich.

Thats funny. Newt who is orig from PA just said he was glad to back north just last week didnt he? ... Before that he was glad to be back west in Iowa.
When has any GOP said they would roll back Obama's open faggotry in the military? DADT was the best policy. Amerika is 1% homo yet .1% ever join up mainly crewcut bulldykes city cop types.
