GOP chairman calls in cavalry for NC

Who says North Carolina isn't a battleground state?

Republican national Chairman Reince Priebus will appear at GOP headquarters in Cornelius Saturday to announce a coordinated effort in North Carolina with party officials from Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia.

The effort is "sure to go a long way toward turning the state red in November," Priebus said in a statement.

The occasion is part of what Republicans are calling their second "Super Saturday," a sort of dress-rehearsal for this fall's get-out-the-vote efforts.

RNC spokeswoman Rachel Adams said hundreds of volunteers across the state, operating from 20 GOP "Victory" offices, will reach thousands of voters through direct visits and phone calls.

The Obama campaign says it has more than 30 offices in North Carolina.

No. All important Republican meetings are secret

GWB carried NC 56-43 in 2004. Now it's a full-fledged battleground state. What happened, GOP?

Between 2004 and now, thousands of liberals moved here because of the nice weather. They have almost succeeded turning it into little Detroit.

Anon 2:29 - whatever happened to all of those "open door" meetings the White House was going to broadcast on C-Span, and all of those bills that were going to be posted online for 3 days before a vote? Libs have to do everything policy related in secret because if they didn't, they know the American people would never vote for them again.

Reince Priebus is almost as stupid a sounding name as Barack Obama.

The GOP had better get started, Pat McCrory has to be shaking in his boots in the race for Governor.

LT. Gov. Walter Dalton is PULLING AHEAD!!! NC has 3 major population centers: Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh which all together comprises apprx. 40% of the state of NC population. Which leans toward Democratic and liberal. If President Obama wins NC so will Dalton. We know how straight ticket voters work.

North Carolina will make the smart vote again and go for President Obama. GOP should stick to states they have a better chance of winning like Ky. Tn. and W. Va.

TexGirl - Read up a little on N.C. history--we never were a truly red state. The Solid South has long been left to the pages of history, but North Carolina never fully made the transition to siding with the Republicans as did other Southern states. In any case, the areas with the highest concentrations of transplants, such as Ballantyne and Cary in Wake Co., are actually Republican strongholds.

Skippy, I can't predict moronic behavior, but I can tell you what intelligent people understand. Every thing that the President has tried to do during his elected term by the majority of Americans, the GOP has stood in his way. Remember the GOP pledge of doing absolutely everything in their power to make sure that President Obama fails in order make sure that the President serves one term. Well, the GOP has been very successfully with their pledge of being obstructionists to the President and it has been at the detriment of the American economy. So if there has been no significant progress in jobs creation, the GOP owns it. No way in heck will the GOP get rewarded for mischief. Smart people will vote for President Obama.

Reince Priebus ??? Sounds like a tropical disease.

A lot of folks are screaming about the "bad" job numbers, but not Wall Street: Up over 200 points today; made up for the whole week's losses in one day.

What the hell is a Wasserman Shultz? A fungus itch.
Barack Hussein Obama? Muslim name for his homo-free birthplace Kenya? No wonder he hates it there.

Muslim cure rate for homos for the past 1300 yrs is 100% disproving the obv fag genetic lie. Real muslims are good for something at least.

Pres Romney and the RNC could pay muslims to clean up the DNC fags that would in effect eliminate 99% of the party and end all violent crime and welfare in America.

One team of muslims and a box of machetes in San Francisco should suffice.
