Myrick, McHenry endorse in the 9th District

U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick has endorsed Republican Jim Pendergraph in the race for her 9th District seat.

"I know of his integrity and where he stands on the issues," Myrick said of Pendergraph. "He's an average guy - one of us. He's spent his entire life in service to people and defending the rule of law. If ever in history we needed people like that in Congress - it's now."

Meanwhile her colleague, Republican U.S. Rep Patrick McHenry of Cherryville, has endorsed former state Sen. Robert Pittenger. McHenry will headline a Friday fundraiser for Pittenger at Zebra restaurant.

"I served with Robert in the North Carolina Legislature," McHenry said in a statement. " No one gave stronger leadership and specific solutions to address our state's enormous fiscal mess than Robert."

There are nine other Republicans running for the seat.

An endorsement by Myrick is not a point in Pendergraph's favor.

And if I was any kind of a serious candidate, the last person I'd want endorsing me would be McHenry!

Talk about a political albatross around a candidate's neck...these two endorsements could be the kiss of death.

An endorsement from Myrick? I know who I'm NOT voting for.

I am looking forward to Jim Pendergraph going back to Washington, and this time have the power to get things done for us in the Illegal Immigration situation.

We have ignored it long enough and now is to put someone in office who has come up with the only plan used in this country.

Go Jim! We very rarely get someone with, multimillion dollar, large personnel operation, law enforcement, experience, running and willing to help all citizens.

Gee what a huge suprise to have one bigot endorsing another bigot!I hope for the sake of anyone not white and Republican someone else wins!

7:41 You state you hope someone White and then Republican does not win, while calling those who endorse and endorsed bigots.

I guess bigots are only one color or party?

The last person I'd support is anybody that sawed-off little shitheel runt McHenry is behind. Plus, Pendergraph is a glad handing, flip-flopping, party switching, shifty eyed fink. Ye gads what a slate full of garbage.

Unfortunately Congresswoman Myrick doesn’t own the seat in which she endorsing Commissioner Jim Pendergraph for, but we as the voters are the ones who need to decide who is put in place to replace the outgoing Congresswoman. It is time for the people to pick a person who is not a career politician but a man who has a strong business background. This is why I am supporting a great man for this seat my friend, my mentor and this person is like a father to me also. I support Andy Dulin for Congressional house Seat 9. Let’s take Washington back the old fashion way with a little hard work and with people who care about the people.

Serving his third term on Council (since 2005) and you're saying this Dulin cat is not a career politician? For the sweet love of God,get a clue McGriff, get a clue!

If Charlotte is an example of winning the war on illegal immigration - what does losing look like?!?!?

We can end illegal immigration by ending employment, education and healthcare (the latter two often funded by our tax dollars).

I don't know if I'd put any stock in McHenry's endorsement. He endorsed Chris Malone out in Wake Co. for NC House and there's a paper in eastern NC that says Malone and State Auditor candidate Debra Goldman have been dancin' in the sheets!

To anonymous, You need to either stop your rant or have the courage to put your name on your post. It would have a lot more meaning. Only cowards use anonymous.
