Did Edwards miss his chance?

If Democrat John Edwards wanted to make a meaningful endorsement in the presidential race, he may have missed his chance.

It was three weeks ago that Sen. Hillary Clinton came courting at Edwards' Chapel Hill home. Sen. Barack Obama followed later. But Edwards has kept his counsel, and stayed silent on which of the two he prefers. Some of his supporters -- and donors -- have said they're waiting to follow his lead.

But Clinton and Obama face crucial primaries Tuesday in Ohio and Texas. If Clinton loses one or the other, or doesn't do well enough to score a majority of delegates, her campaign is all but over. If you want an endorsement to make a difference, time is running out.

That's why another erstwhile rival, Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut, endorsed Obama today in Cleveland.

Like anyone really cares what John Edwards thinks. The man's head is full of straw.

Dodd endorsed Obama simply because he wanted to ride on the bandwagon and wants people (voters) to see him as one of the instruments of "change." Plus, it's a great photo op.

Attention Observer Staff:

NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT JOHN EDWARDS ANYMORE. EVER!

It's over, done; just let it go already!

Jim,

Edwards didn't want to be the king maker at the convention. Why would he do it through an endorsement? I don't think he ever intended to endorse.

(Now watch him make an announcement today......)

These are words of Barack Obamaand I think it shows his true feelings and if anyone can still vote for Obama after reading this, God help us.

Dreams Of My Father: "The person who made me proudest of all, though, was [half brother] Roy .. He converted to Islam."

'Dreams of my Father', "In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school" "I studied the Koran.."

'Audacity of Hope: "Lolo (Obama's step father) followed a brand of Islam ...."I looked to Lolo for guidance".

' Audacity Of Hope, "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

'Audacity Of Hope, "We are no longer just a Christian nation," "We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers."

'Dreams of My Father, " I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE".

'Dreams of my Father', "The emotion between the races could never be pure..... the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart."

'Dreams of My Father', "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites"

Dreams Of My Father, "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself..".

'Dreams Of My Father: "That hate hadn't gone away," he wrote, blaming "white people — some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives."

'Dreams Of My Father; "There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on,to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names"

'Dreams Of My Father, "I had grown accustomed, everywhere, to suspicions between the races."

Just how clear does Obama have to make his disdain for the white race and his admiration for Islam?? Imagine if Hillary or McCain had said: . . " I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST THE BLACK RACE". "The emotion between the races could never be pure..... the BLACK race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart." "never emulate BLACK men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the WHITE MAN,- SON OF AMERICA,-that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself..".

IF A WHITE CANDIDATE HAD THOSE REMARKS OUT IN PRINT, THEY WOULD BE CRUCIFIED and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be all over the media threatening law suits.
