Free Market Warrior meets Dr. Seuss

Loren Spivack has made a career of selling conservative-themed novelties, from bumper stickers to bobbleheads. Now the so-called "Free Market Warrior" has gone into publishing.

Spivack was in Rock Hill today handing out copies of his book, "The New Democrat" by "Dr. Truth." It's designed to look like Dr. Seuss' "Cat in the Hat," it features President Obama as the cat.

Dedicated to Glenn Beck ("Who inspires us all"), the book is a rhymed parody of the Obama administration. ("Our Founding fathers / Would turn over in their graves /If they could see now / How their successor behaves.)"

Spivack gave a copy to RNC Chairman Michael Steele in Rock Hill. To see more about the $20 book, go to http://www.obamaparody.com/.

Poor guy doesn't have a sense of meter to save his life, does he?

The mandate to buy health insurance was one of the core pieces of the republican's plan back in 1993. I guess that makes them socialists, too.

Our Pledge of Allegiance, that they hold so sacred was also written by an avowed socialist.

I'm puzzled, why is this news? Should we care that this gentleman has a overpriced book poking fun at the President?

I don't care if he wrote it, after all that is what the 1st amendment is all about, but I am curious about why anyone woudl consider it newsworthy.

I know thai is a blog, but it's been put up on the Observer's site
By the way, I would feel the same way about any other parody for profit.

Is this what passes for news among Republicans, tea party dweebs, and other "conservatives"? Funny that the book is referred to as a parody for the tea party, when the tea party itself is nothing other than a parody of the Republican party, a conglomerate of right wing wannabes who really don't know right from left, and who wouldn't know a real Conservative if one was slapping them in their face for their ignorance. What a joke. Can't you find some real political news or issues to write about? A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

This won't really have effect, I consider like this.
