Johnson shooting for cash with Young Guns

Republican 8th District candidate Harold Johnson is going to Washington this week to meet with GOP officials -- and replenish his campaign coffers.

Johnson, 69, is one of 26 "Young Guns" invited to meetings with House Republican leaders and GOP donors from Tuesday to Thursday.

Johnson was named this month as one of the 78 candidates in the Young Guns program.

Johnson spokesman Bryan Holladay said the candidate will meet with donors who can help him offset Democratic spending in the race. The Democratic Congressional Campaign committee and state Democratic Party have spent at least $300,000 on TV ads in support of Democratic Rep. Larry Kissell.

The National Republican Congressional Committee, which has spent $128,000 against S.C. Democrat John Spratt, has yet to weigh in on Johnson's behalf. An independent conservative group, Americans for Job Security, has spent $550,000 against Kissell.

The 'Brian' spokesbot from somewhere else that spells his name with a "Y" says a 70-year old man from Iredell County is a "Young Gun" that can shoot for cash.

Too bad even a .22 long rifle can only shoot 1.14 miles away and Harold Johnson lives about 40 miles from the 8th.

Harold (and donors), that wishful money for the BIG GUY's Daughter-in-Law Campaign Manager and Son-Who-Really-Runs-His-Campaign and Grandchildren-Who-Will-Curse-HIS-Legacy because of the DEBT HE incurred aint never coming back.

I thought we got rid of Harry Johnson's mentor Robin Hayes last time.

P.S. The NRA endorsed Harry's opponent Larry Kissell.

Spokesbot? Are you that weird cable man that used to hang around the dumpster in the parking lot or are you the angry D'Annunzio family member (how is that wound healing?) or the Hal Jordan staffer who just received his last unemployment check? Kissell's people are just not this clever and the only thing they know about guns is that require control.

I like Hairy Johnson's chances in this environment.

After all, what's better than not being from D.C. than not even being from here.

A. Lee. Uns.
A. Lee. Uns.
A. Lee. Uns.

So what was the Big Guys stand on that or ANYTHING again?

Good luck getting a check off that debt from the kitty that old man from somewhere else is wracking up playing relevant.

Gosh, I hate it when Representatives vote like I want when I want to be angry.

Durr, durr, durr.

I R Tea Party and want someone more liberal than the Incumbent because he's from here.

So I support the 'guy' with an "R" by his name and those guys that forced CAFTA and he's going to ask for money in D.C.

See what I'm saying? Vote 'Other Guy.'

I thought the NRA supported Kissell.

It's almost like the Johnson campaign is trying to NOT focus on what he told his REAL hometown newspaper, the STATESVILLE RECORD & LANDMARK, just a few short months ago.

"These days I do heavy consulting with my driver and my putter."

Johnson also said he did a few talks in Charlotte, but that these days, he mostly concentrated on the "three Gs," grandchildren, gardening and golf.

As to his career, he says, "I had a great time doing what I love. If I could have chosen another career, I think that I'd have liked to have been an actor, but then I've been acting all my life."

Skareeeew all you people. WE HAVE A WEINER!

The biggest donor to the Harry Johnson for Whatever campaign is NOT a big corporate donor. It's an ALZHEIMER'S PATIENT JUST LOOKING FOR ATTENTION! (Just like all the people he want's to work longer and get less benefits!)

Mr. Harold Nelson Johnson
$290,000.00

Grassroots starts at a fake address and ends in debt. HA!

(I almost feel bad for him.)

Did you really say Spokesbot? Who are you, Austin Powers? I bet you have bad teeth.

Regardless of what "Pelosi Boy" is saying here, Harold Johnson is in position to win this thing. A big "D" by Kissell's name has to be concerning to his campaign. Republican momentum will likely be too much for a very weak incumbent to overcome.

Larry Kissell has done nothing for our district. I gave him a chance and he disappointed. I will not vote for him again. Let's send Harold to Washington. If he disappoints then we'll vote him out too.

Harold Johnson is a stooge carpetbagger with no real experience in ANYTHING but reading teleprompters.

I'd sooner have no representation than his. He's not his own man, snd should he even win by the grace of the RNCC, he'll be beholden to their multinational agenda of more outsourcing for his term.

At least Kissel says screw you to his own party and all of that.

I can see where this is going. Just because Harold Johnson isn't from here and was recruited by CAFTA Hayes does not mean he won't be his own man.

After all, he rented a condo in the 8th to run.

DUH!

Statesville to DC, when is 70 year old Johnson going to live here and get real work without a teleprompter?

Harold Johnson is beginning to look more and more like W. C. Fields with each passing day. A few more gin blossoms and he'll be there.

Great video Larry "Pelsoi Boy" Kissell. Only one problem, you look and sound just like Captain Kangaroo. Close your eyes and give a listen. Am I right or am I right?

Question: What is the difference Between Captain Kangaroo and Larry Kissell?

Answer: Captain Kangaroo would have accomplished more as a congressman than Larry Kissell.

Maybe a TV kid's show for Larry Kissell in 2011. Larry goes to local TV and Harold goes to Washington. How 'bout that for bitter irony?

First episode, "Pelosi Boys in the hood."

If Harold Johnson moves from Iredell County to D.C., all I want to know is if his daughter-in-law is going with him to keep changing his diaper.

Because I'm not paying for it.

Pelosi time, you can't touch this.

Durrr.

Mr. Kissell, you must do better than "Durrr." "Durrr" is what we have gotten from you for last 2 years which is why you may be facing defeat and why this district is in economic shambles.

Old guy!

From somewhere else.

Buy stock in adult diapers people.

'Cause he wants to raise the retirement age and go back to Bush's plan to "privatize" every safety net under Wall Street.

And let's be honest here. Harry doesn't even know what he wants. He reads scripts.

Not fair, not fair. You can't blame the despair and poverty in our district on Larry Kissell. he deserves another chance. Name one congresman that did anything at all in their first term.

Anonymous said...

You're crazy dude. Larry Kissell deserves the same ailment 26,000+ workers in our district now suffer with. UNEMPLOYMENT.

Could Larry Kissell apply for unemploymnet benefits?

Anonymous said...

Harold Johnson gets it. He's unemployed and not from here.

THE END.

Anonymous said...

Larry Kissell means more poverty and despair for the 8th District.

The Beginning

Anonymous said...

You're actually both idiots.

Kissell has done nothing for us and never will. Johnson will do the same.

Let's give Thomas Hill a shot.

Goodbye Larry Kissell or should we say ex-congressman for hire?

Larry's qualifications:
1)
2)
3)

Mr. Kissell, can you babysit my children while my husband and I look for work? Surely you're qualified to do that.

lay of kissell he's an average guy who has done an average job

Larry, one guy defending you here. Hope you are paying this staffer overtime. Most of his posts are very late in the evening obviously after a hard day campaigning for you and Nancy Pelosi.

96% is the magic number...that is the % of time larry kissell votes with pelosi and obama's agenda. 800 BILLION in stimulu and unemployment goes up, the democrats have controlled congress since 2006 and ask yourself, has your life/job gotten better....no. life under democrat control has made it worse. kissell and democrats are anti business and pro tax. why do you think kissell left DC last week without voting to increase taxes??? let's fact it, obama, pelosi, kissell have no clue what to do with our economy. charlotte area is suffering. we need new blood in Dc. kissell you had your chance and you voted with Pelosi from California 96% of the time.

Anonymous said...

It bothers me that Kissell took campaign money from that harlem congressman charlie rangel who is under major ethics investigation for being SO unethical. so let's see, Kissell take money from Charlie Rangel from Harlem. at the next vote, Charlie calls Kissel and say's, "Nancy Pelosi and I need you to vote yes on this tax increase (bush tax code expiring)" You know Kissell has gotten in bed with Rangle by taking his $$ so he votes yes. This is the crap that was supposed to change but obama, pelosi and kissell have proven to be more unethical, liars, screw the middle class then anyone before. kissell is in bed with charlie rangel from harlem, pelosi from california, and obama with his chicago politics and foul mouthed presidency. kissell needs to go!
