Pelosi grabs Carolina headlines

A week after a Republican "Fire Pelosi" bus tour rolls through North Carolina, Democratic U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi herself comes to South Carolina.
Pelosi, of San Francisco, will speak to the Charleston NAACP on Sept. 25.

Tomorrow night in Fayetteville, Republican Congressional candidate Harold Johnson will join national GOP chairman Michael Steele on the "Fire Pelosi" tour. Earlier, Steele will hold a similar rally in Raleigh with two Triangle-area GOP candidates.

Pelosi has been red meat for Republicans. Recent national polls put Congressional job approval as low as 21 percent.

I guess she'll be arriving in her military plane at Charleston Airforce Base?

Oh, by the way, doesn't the NAACP still have a boycott going in SC?

She does like to travel and since she is so busy she likes to travel first class and in a private jet.

Above it a picture of one of the three jets she approved to buy when they were in the middle of getting the stimulus and telling the country that we were broke.

Two classes in the Democratic Party. The ruling and the voters.

Will Alvin greene be there?

Johnson hanging out with Michael Steele proves his brain has gone bad or he wants Kissell to win.

Nancy gets a bad rap and that's calculated GOP propaganda, just like the abuse they heap on one of the most intelligent members of Congress, Barney Frank. Both are good legislators and, unlike their Republican collegues, actually act in the best interest of ALL Americans, not just the rich and powerful. We need more like them. Larry, you have no idea what you're talking about. Democrats care about the middle class, even if some of them - including you evidently - don't understand they're being played by the GOP. You're their cannon fodder, and you play that roll well. Hope you're enjoying the recession that was brought to you by the Republican Party.

Or maybe you'd rather have Tom DeLay back? Please...

The NAACP has had a ten-year boycott going against South Carolina (for all the good it's done them), so why are they having some sort of event in Charleston?

Have they finally figured out their boycott has been hurting black owned businesses?

Apparently there's no bandwagon Harold Johnson won't jump on, no matter how wobbly the wheels are.

What a self-serving opportunist. Toe the party line, Harold. You're just like the rest of them. Big Guy my butt.

Wow someone posts an anonymous comment saying I should enjoy the Depression the Republicans created.

Let me refresh my memory? The Democrats have been in full control of the House and Senate for the last three and a half years?

Just checking your reality meter?

I just love how the Rich and Powerful are the enemy you have to have an enemy or your power base is nothing.

Thank you Nancy and thank you Barney.

Funny how you two, and a lot of your cohorts, live so lavishly, off our taxes how no one seems to mind that?

“YOU PEOPLE”

For those who don’t remember, Nancy brought the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 up for vote when she was two votes short.

After raiding the Congressional pantry for some famous Washington Pork she tipped the scales in a second vote. In her speech afterwards she said the first attempt had to fail so she could bring us a better bill. She proved herself a threat to the nation then and she is unchanged today.

She’s arrogant and crass. I can only hope she pulls a Ross Perot in front of the NAACP.

Tell us Larry...

If Everything goes the way you obviously want it to go in November...

Will John Boehner - as speaker of the House - start flying commercial airlines?

Thank you, "Anonymous", ("Nancy gets a bad rap". Sad and alarming how so many Americans have allowed themselves to be led by the nose, spouting the identical talking points given them by their media entertainers. Over and over and over again, Fox News and similar have been caught, red-handed, in unarguable abuse of taking quotes totally out of context, etc. These were not mild infraction but HUGE ones, abusive to the point of libel. Grow up! Wake up! Democrats are not perfect but we are not 100% wrong about every imaginable thing, as your leaders would have you believe. We are not Commies. We love our country at least as sincerely as you do. That's why we dare voice dissenting opinions even when they don't play so well around the pool table. Mainstream Americans have been convinced that it is "ok" to blame "mainstream media" for the fact that their Fox News information is out of line with the rest of the world. That way of thinking has very, very, dangerous precedents in 20th Century history. I'll stop here but, please, I implore all the TeaPartyers, last decade's dittoheads, to calm down and listen to ALL voices before deciding that only YOUR favorite political entertainer has ALL the truths and the rest are Satanic Commies, etc.

This just end: Neither party cares about the middle class. If you think (your party) cares you have bought into their crap. Democrats take money from the middle class to give to the poor through wealth redistribution to buy their votes. The republicans grant the wealthy added tax breaks and help corporations act unethically. The solution is easy - flat tax for everyone, no tax breaks period, social issues decided at state level and things would be much better. Neither side will do it though because they can use these wedge issues to make you people think that they actually care.

Republicans are funny.

Go Mike Steele, go...go....go!

Get a plan to take us out of the Bush ditch you drove the nation into or shut the hell up.

You. Don't. Matter. Since. 1982.

She WILL be stumping for Alvin Greene, wont she?

Cant wait to see the photos!

Nancy should talk about how the Democrackkks ARE the original party of SLAVERY! That would be on topic in SC!

Anonymous said...

Her campaign agenda will be filled with special interest groups since thats the only people who would vote for her.

Forget about mainstream media and talking points. It all boils down to this...do want an economy that is driven by the free market and individual choice, or one that is centrally controlled and manipualted by Uncle Sam? The current btach od Democrats in DC wnat the latter. Look in today's Observer for comments from the White House that the rich in this country don't need any of the cash that they EARNED. Remember, even in a socialist utopia there will still be haves and have nots. The main difference is individual choice, personal liberty, economic freedom. Mark from Matthews.

The far left is going to double down on the unions, NAACP and the like. Lets see how that works for them in November ?
