Bowles: Obama budget "nowhere near" what's needed

President Obama's proposed budget, out today, calls for about $1.1 trillion in spending cuts and tax hikes over the next decade to reduce the deficit and ultimately the federal debt. But for Charlotte's Erskine Bowles, the cuts go "nowhere near where they will have to go to resolve our fiscal nightmare."

That's what Bowles told the Washington Post this weekend. He co-chaired the president's deficit reduction commission that called for deep cuts in areas such as defense and entitlements, including Social Security.

Social Security, Medicare and other so-called mandatory spending make up most of the federal budget.

Bowles is on track. Obamas clueless. Blacks are ingrained with govt entitlements and dont understand business. Spend spend spend. No different than a rich kid with daddys credit card.

With 15 trill in debt and even if he saved 1 trill every 10 yrs thats still 150 yrs to repay exclud interest & future inflat. America is f--ked. He wont be reelected but whites wont vote for him again anyway so it dosent matter. Ignorance & low IQ. America has to stop this 3rd world decline.

Mr. Morrill,

I would like for you to explain how a budget can "reduce the debt" if there is even one dollar of deficit.

To you Repuglicans out there, please don't preach to us about government spending after eight years of George W Bush putting the cost of two wars on a credit card from China and spending the surplus that was inherited from the Clinton administration on tax cuts for the rich. I know, it is difficult to recognize the truth.

Bowles is on the money.

Why is gas going back to 4-5 bucks a gallon? Screw his beautiful BS revolutions. Who gives a rats azz about 100 million screaming nutjob cameljocks in Arabia anyway? Allah SUX !!

Where is the outcry about continuing to lose millions of jobs ?

And dont bitch about the past prez. Didnt he want the job? Then you have to fix things and not just spend trillions and kick the can down the road.

This stringbean is the biggest joke ever. Empty suit. All he can do is run up red ink 3 times what big spender Bush did.

Worthless!! Resign if you cant handle the job.
