Hagan and Tillis dine together in Charlotte -- sort of

Attorney Steve Hockfield had just arrived at the Charlotte City Club Friday for a fundraiser for Democratic U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan. When he got off the elevator, he was surprised to see people wearing name tags with the logo of her Republican opponent, Thom Tillis.

Turns out both candidates were there for simultaneous fundraising luncheons.

Separated only by a floor, they greeted supporters and introduced special guests. Sen. Debbie Stabenow of Michigan was there for Hagan. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush stumped for Tillis.

Neither of the candidates met in the hallway or the elevator.

Said Tillis: "She apparently booked her fundraiser there after we did."

Dear Anonymous,
What a childish thing to say, "I'd hate to have to try and eat while seated across from Kay." Mommy should wash out your mouth with soap for showing such disrespect to a US Senator.
Show us that you do have a brain by commenting on the article or a policy important to you.
Your comment is a reflection of the lack of civil discourse in current politics. Whether you like it or not, Senator Kay Hagan was elected by a voting majority and deserves a measure of deference.

I knew tillis was headed to Charlotte because he tailgated me on 85 for a mile before cutting me off and weaving in and out of traffic, doing the same to other motorists, yesterday.

The definition of aggressive driving. Politics aside (I think they are both lousy candidates) I could never vote for someone who drives recklessly with zero regard for safety of others..... To go absolutely nowhere in heavy traffic. Perhaps you should not drive like an ay-hole with your rep plates and self aggrandizing stickers thom!

I don't like Thom Tillis. But what choice do I have. Not voting for Kay Hagan because she is anti traditional values.

Hagan never once came back to do a public town hall forum to explain her vote for the bill she didnt read - Obamacare. Thats how much she showed me she valued NC voters.

Hagen voted with Obama's failed radical liberal socialist agenda 98% of the time. Get her outta here.
This is a no brainer. Never send a boy or a girl to a man or womans job.

Same for the media. Too many boys and girls and not enough grown adult men and women to do the jobs.

Get the boy out of the White House too. Never again.

Tillis is THE MAN for the job.

Since both candidates will be "wearing out the shoe leather" in campaigning for votes across the state, perhaps the dinner special should have been filet of sole.

ha ha McKnight tries his hand at comedy?
Daddy couldnt buy him a seat in politics nor could he make it at the Improv. He even lost running for class clown in high school.

Better stick to that Deliverance hillbilly banjo stuff ...

What is the latest on Tillis' stand on Common Core? For or against?
