D'Annunzio: Anonymous posters do their 'lynching via the Internet'

My blog on Republican Tim D'Annunzio's "Machine Gun Social" yesterday elicited plenty of attacks on the 8th District congressional candidate. So he fired back.

"Just to clear things up," he wrote in his own post, "not that it will matter to the racist, typical red necked hicks that have now replaced 'N' word with their new bigoted hate, Jim's (gun shop) is providing the "Machine Guns" and I have organized the "Social". And yes they are real machine guns. Hiding behind these web sites as "anonymous" is the same as hiding under a the white hood, COWARDS.You wouldn't dare say these things to my face, but I wouldn't have any trouble telling you this same thing to yours, if you dared."

Today, he really vented.

"The old racist red-neck hick was somebody who used the 'n' word and focused all their attention on blacks," he said when asked about his post. "Now, it's that same type of person. The new buzz words are 'Christian' and 'Conservative' and 'Constitutionalist.' They're the targets of those same basic haters .... They're now doing their lynching via the Internet."

He says most posters make baseless and personal attacks. While the Klan "hid behind the anonymity of their white hoods," he says, people "nowadays do it by hiding behind the name of 'Anonymous' on these blogs. To be perfectly honest, it's evil what they're doing."

And the people doing it? As he sees it, the authors of most posts are liberal. "To be perfectly honest," he added, "some of them may be Republican.”

"Typically people who are against those things are liberals .... How do you know a liberal? They hate everything this country stands for. They hate everything based on thoughtful analysis. All their thought is emotion-based. They want to stir up hate because hate doesn’t require thought.”

His replies usually stir up his critics even more. He expects that will happen again.

"I'm not going to be one of those who are quiet, I don’t care if it stirs it up," he says. "It's time for a fight. What we’re fighting for makes it worth it .... I'm not going to let them shut me up by bullying me. When I go out and speak to people I call them to the battle. We are not going to be quiet anymore."

Liberals have no morals... and the KKK was started by Democrats after the Civil War to harass Republicans. The Democrat Party acknowledged the first Grand Wizard of the KKK at their convention in 1868...

--->>The first grand wizard of the KKK was honored at the 1868 Democratic National Convention, no Democrats voted for the 14th Amendment to grant citizenship to former slaves and, to this day, the party website ignores those decades of racism. <---

Wow. We really shouldn't elect a guy who can't handle heat from anonymous bloggers...And who then goes on to compare verbal attacks online to the real, systemic and violent attacks the KKK.

Stop playing the victim.

Wow: "How do you know a liberal? They hate everything this country stands for. They hate everything based on thoughtful analysis. All their thought is emotion-based. They want to stir up hate because hate doesn’t require thought.”

I guess the Klan was liberal, according to these criteria, as was the Nazi Party.

I don't want to get into a pot-kettle thing, but Tim seems a tad emotional here.

The Democrats that were in the Klan joined the Republican party over the Civil Rights Act. That is a fact that they love to leave out. I've seen cowardly behavior from both sides. The "evangelical christians" are the most venomous and judgmental. I don't think Christ would recognize them at all or claim them. Denunzio sounds hate filled to me. Republicans specialize in projection. They love to call others what they actually are.

Anonymous said...

And when the Democrats changed their racist ways, all the one opposed to it (The Dixiecrats) became...Republicans. Wheere do you think the "states' rights" rallying cry came from? Surely you don't view Lincoln as a states' rights supporter.

If nothing else at least he reads the opinions of constituents, which seems to be much more than most of those in Congress

I bet most of the comments are coming from tim's staffers that got fired or quite.

He sure is the victim.

More like a complete moron.

The argument that liberals hate this country is JUST STUPID AND NOT PATRIOTIC! This country was FOUNDED on not being happy with the status quo and wanting to change it so that we can better the nation so that our children can have an improved future. If we we 'liberals' were never around, this country would NOT have been started.

Just to keep that in mind, moron, running for congress. Jeez, he is more of a nut case than Palin.

He was merely pointing out the cowardice of people who hide behind their computers and know they will never have to confront him face to face.

"The Democrats that were in the Klan joined the Republican party over the Civil Rights Act. That is a fact that they love to leave out."

Lets see.... Jim Wright, current Democrat senator and former member of the KKK didn't join the Republican party. It seems you suffer from selective memory loss, an affliction that affects many Liberals.

"They want to stir up hate because hate doesn't require thought."

This coming from the guy who copies his whole stump speech from old Glenn Beck episodes? Go listen to Tim at one of his town halls and tell me how much "original thought" you hear coming from him. Are we sure this guy has a campaign staff, and if he does, where the heck are they and why do they keep letting him attack anonymous internet commenters??

It might be worth noting that Tim D'Annunzio is being a crybaby saying he is being 'lynched' on the internet. It's funny how a guy who throws $500K into his campaign and waves a machine gun around gets his feelings hurt so quickly when people take jabs at him on-line. If he can't handle us here in the gallery, how is he going to handle a bunch of blowhards in congress and the media accosting him? Not only is he a nutjob, but it sounds like he's a wuss also. Do we really want someone like him in Congress? I sure don't.

I hope he isn't the best the Republicans have for the 8th district. His district is necessary to reclaim the majority in the house and well, you don't win a seat by waving a machine gun.

Last I checked the key issues right now are jobs, jobs and well...jobs. If you had to expand that, go with the economy and well...health care and how it will cost us jobs. If you wanted to go even further, you can talk about the Cap and Trade bill and how if passed will cost us more jobs.

You see, Guns aren't an issue right now, and support for owning fully automatic Machine Guns lacks support from everyone on the left, most of the middle and a decent amount of those on the right. You basically just shot your potential voters by making a stand that has nothing to do with JOBS

Anonymous said...

Well, if Tim's not scared of "emotional liberals," why hasn't he responded to this challenge:

This pattern of hyperbole and arrogance appears to be a familiar one for the Republican candidate, though history shows it's more likely to happen in the dark of night. That said, Mr. D, consider this your invitation to come into the light. You name the time and date and we'll be glad to host a live-blog for you, right here at BlueNC.

Chris said...

Oh, don't worry, Tim has a solution for the economy and the massive unemployment... it's called the FAIR TAX! That's it, that's all he's got, the Fair Tax. I can see it now, him and Kissell going head to head with D'Annunzio yelling Fair Tax and Socialist over and over until Kissell just concedes to his superior intellect...

" You don't win a seat by waving a machine gun" I agree, but should you hold a seat by waving a black power fist, such as District 2 Democrat Velma Leake did today? Where is the outrage by her racial gester. She should be dismissed off the council now, today!!

Marc said...

So what if people are racist? I'd wager that 90% of human beings harbor occasional racist thoughts or opinions. Everyone needs to stop being so offended all the time. Not every racist thought involves hanging someone. It's fine for black comedians to make white jokes, we all laugh, no one is really offended. It needs to be the same all the way around. Relax, its not as big a deal as everyone makes it.

JAT said...

This is not headed in a good direction.

Anonymous said...

Because Velma Leake is a true racist. Her leadership abilites are questionable. Attend a meeting and watch her in action. If she is thrown a question for a subect that is not on the agenda she freezes. She is worthless and ineffective. But she will keep getting elected because she is black and her district is black. They would vote for a black come hell or high water. One thing blacks have doen is stick together. Once they get in a hiring position they hire only blacks.

Rob said...

As a Libertarian who often leans Republican, I was interested in Tim. It is obvious this guy ain't ready for prime-time... You never, never, never respond to critisism from a blog-post, and you never respond to any critisism directly, you do it through surrogates.

You also never write your own reply, you have people who are better with words do it for you.

To be honest his reply scares me, i detest what most Liberals champion, but i would never go so far as to say they hate everything that is good about America, that was just stupid and juvenile.

If he gets this mad over bloggers I can't imagine he'll want to hold very many townhalls if he is elected. If he had to deal with the same kind of upset constituents other congressmen had to suffer through this guy might just lose it.

I'm looking for an intelligent thoughtful candidate who doesn't think his job is figuring out how best to spend my money and who doesn't care who i worship or have consensual sex with. The government shouldn't care about my healthcare or my sex life or my job situation or my light bulb type, or what i choose to ingest into my body. They should do what it takes to protect my Liberty, enforce contractual agreements, and protect us from invading hordes. Anything else is extra-curricular and I shouldn't be paying for it.

Does anyone know of a candidate who fits this bill?

Anonymous said...

Hey old man politician , it's the age of the internet and young people rule. You're all ready toast, so get out of the campaign.

Luke Fisher said...

One must keep in mind that both parties are inherently evil. The GOP is currently running an anti-Washington message as do most politicians when trying to obtain power.

Statism is what is killing America today. Statism says that the Big Central State must control all aspects of our lives and take most all of our money.

While the GOP now runs against the current gang in power, they do not advocate any drastic reforms. They still want warfare and massive welfare. Neither of these are sustainable as we are running record deficits and our dollar is near collapse.

D'Annunzio has not questioned the warfare state, nor the counterfeiting central bank we call the Federal Reserve, and he wont. He will however, state his opposition to certain "others" getting welfare benefits, but won't advocate the liberty position of abolishing the plundering income tax system that funds these things. Or, he will denigrate those that the government has unilaterally declared as enemy combatants but refusing to question US foreign policy in that region of the world.

One can go around toting guns as much as they want to. However, the GOP will be among the first to condemn actually BEARING those arms. I'm welling to bet all those "toters" made sure they got permission from the State to do the toting...so sad...

So when watching these imposters play their "everyman" game keep in mind the following quotes:

"The state is the great fiction by which everyone seeks to live at the expense of everyone else." -- Frédéric Bastiat

“Most men do not desire liberty; most only wish for a just master.” -- Sallust (86-34BC)

Most of these comments seem to be repetitious and aren't really worth ones time reading through -- though I did wade through most just to get a feel for them.

Thank God, in Tim D'Annunzio the 8th District has a candidate who towers above (and if I sound blunt here, you'll just have to take it for what it is) the small minds of sniping anonymous bloggers such as appear on websites like this.

Mr. D'Annunzio's website clearly sets forth his beliefs and principles and the key issues and serious concerns which have motivated him to step forth and be willing to suffer the verbal indignities that lesser souls who don't have the ability or the patience--or guts -- must weather in a political campaign.

Most of the flippancy manifested on this blog is a depressing commentary on the lack of grasp by many around us as to the seriousness of the threat facing our families and nation.

Tim D'Annunzio understands these threats implicitly and is willing to put his all on the line to stand in the gap for not only us and our families but for all Americans!

I would invite the anonymous and liberal naysayers to just not worry about it all and return your attentions to your American Idol and other shallow entertainments.

Alabama black Tuskeegee Institute for SCLC calculated viglante criminal lynchings at about 1/3 white and 2/3 black. These figures do not go undisputed since most occured in remote rural areas in the south, midwest and many parts of the north.

Numerous non-black calculations allege white criminals were actually lynched by a much higher ratio than black criminals in the same period. As usual it comes down to who controls the body count and writes the stories and that goes for anything including war casualties.

Between 1882 and 1968, the Tuskegee Institute recorded 3,437 lynchings of blacks and 1,293 lynchings of whites.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People(NAACP) as well as numerous other organizations, organized support from white and black Americans alike to counter vigilante justice for both races.

The Great Migration for industrial jobs extended in two waves from 1910 to 1970 as 6.5 million blacks left the south primarily for large blue collar industrialized northern and midwestern cities like Detroit Philadelphia Pittsburgh Cleveland Chicago etc.
